This method is preferable because it prevents damage to the waterlily caused by heavy pots, which also increases shipping weight. Upon arrival, plant the rhizome in a mixture of clay soil with a small amount of kraal or chicken manure. To prevent koi from accessing the roots, place pebbles on top of the soil to weigh it down. These plants thrive and flower more effectively when they receive full sunlight!oted (Out of pot). This is the best way so that the waterlily is not damaged by a heavy pot which also adds to the weight of shipping/ Plant the Rhisome on arrival in a clay mixture with a bit of kraal or chicken manure.
